KICK OFF SUMMER AT THE KITTERY BLOCK PARTY!
The Kittery Block Party is showing all the signs of being the best one yet. Come celebrate the finest from the Seacoast, including restaurants, artists, artisans, local farmers, non-profits, bands, entertainers and more.
BE A BLOCKHEAD VOLUNTEER!
Are you an eco-minded individual who enjoys spreading the waste reducing message? Do you have an interest in sustainable waste models like biodegradables and food composting? Then KBP needs your help. Join us on Saturday June 18 at the Kittery Block Party in downtown Kittery, Maine.
Zero Waste Ambassadors are needed to educate Block Party guests about our zero waste mission! As a Zero Waste Ambassador you will answer questions, explain the value of compostable utensils and dishware, and guide patrons toward appropriate sorting and composting. A strategizing session will be held prior to the event, and community service or class credit is available with approval of your campus or organization advisor. We are also open to working with students on sustainability-themed independent study projects, etc. Volunteers receive a t-shirt, meal coupon, and of course, the thrill of spreading the zero waste message! See you there!
